About Harvester Wealth:  Rooted in legacy, driven by purpose and technology

We draw inspiration from Alex’s paternal grandfather, Kansas wheat farmer Dorris E. Winslow, who witnessed firsthand how a combination harvester, commonly known as a “combine,” revolutionized agriculture by increasing productivity 600 times, eliminating food scarcity, and creating new opportunities for future generations.

On his mom’s side of the family, Alex’s maternal great-grandfather, John J. Foley, moved to Dallas in 1901 to serve as the regional manager of the International Harvester Corporation. A highlight near the end of his career was the opening of the Transportation Building at the 1936 State Fair of Texas Centennial Exposition, which attracted great fanfare, including 20 tractors pulling floats for the opening day Exposition parade through downtown Dallas.

These “Harvester Combines” introduced automation and increased agricultural productivity by “combining” four harvesting functions at once:

⦁    Reaping
⦁    Threshing
⦁    Gathering
⦁    Winnowing

Just as that innovation transformed farming productivity, our technology-driven process combines four core functions to enhance the “yield” of your wealth.

⦁    Wealth Planning & Tax Strategy
⦁    Priority-driven Asset Allocation
⦁    Investment Management
⦁    Delivery of a Family Office Experience

Our services are delivered with a white-glove approach and a work ethic rooted in our heritage and values: integrity, family, faith, and thrift.

Pictured is Alex’s maternal great-grandfather, J.J. Foley, the Dallas Regional Manager of the International Harvester Corporation, testing new plow technology in 1920. J.J. Foley is pictured below opening the Transportation Building with a Hollywood movie star at the 1936 Texas Centennial Celebration at the State Fair of Texas. Mr. Foley was also a board member of the Dallas Community Chest Trust Fund, later renamed the Communities Foundation of Texas.

Alex’s paternal grandfather, Dorris “Pop” E. Winslow, is shown unloading grain from an International Harvester combine in June 1964. Dorris and his two sons, Steve and Gary, rose every morning before dawn to milk the Holstein dairy cows; furthermore, they tended to the fields during the planting and harvest seasons. His wife, Dorothy “Bebe,” managed all the bills and ensured that everyone was well fed and clothed, in addition to overseeing rental properties. I can still taste the cream layer from the barn milk tank. Next to the house was an apple orchard with honeybee hives.

Alex is pictured with his dad, Steve, on the Winslow family farm during the summer wheat harvest of 1984. Working as a farmhand and wheat truck driver instilled in Alex a Midwestern work ethic. Partner Brent Nicholson experienced a similar appreciation for hard work in the high plains of White Deer, Texas. Partner Chris Buck’s father was a bank president and fine wine collector, showcasing another remarkable agricultural bounty.
